Theatre Library Association 2019 Elections – Cast your Vote!
An online ballot was sent to TLA personal and institutional members in good standing to vote in the 2019 Elections. Voting is open now, and will continue until 5:00 PM ET on Friday, October 18, 2019. This year, we will be electing new officers including: Treasurer and Executive Secretary for a three-year term (2020-2023).
This year, there are five seats on the Executive Board up for election, each for a two-year term, from 2020 to 2022.
The candidates include Drew Barker from University of Maryland, Felicity Brown who is an independent library consultant, William Daw from Ford E. and Harriet R. Curtis Theatre Collection of the University of Pittsburgh, Sophie Glidden-Lyon from the La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club Archive, and Karin Suni from Free Library of Philadelphia.
This year’s Nominating Committee was chaired by Helice Koffler and consisted of Drew Barker and Marti LoMonaco.
The election results will be announced at the Annual Business Meeting at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts on October 18. The Business Meeting provides membership with the opportunity to learn more about the activities of the association, meet fellow members, ask questions and be engaged. Paper ballots will be available for those members who were unable to vote online. The Business Meeting is only the beginning of the evening. It will be followed by TLA’s Annual Awards Ceremony, featuring the presentation of the TLA Book Awards and the Louis Rachow Distinguished Service Award. Don’t miss it!
