Join the Wikipedia edit-a-thon!
Artists! Archivists! Scholars! Students! Join us on February 17, 2015 (4 – 7:30pm) for a Wikipedia edit-a-thon.
New and experienced Wikipedians are invited to come together to create, edit, and expand Wikipedia articles on under- or unsung theatre artists–with a focus on artists who are queer, women, of color, or otherwise underrepresented–as part of a worldwide Wikiturgy Edit-a-Thon. Participating in this event is a way to support artists whose work you know, admire, and feel should have a more publicly visible space online–or to discover new artists and new histories of performance in the Americas. This event is open to all, but RSVP is required. And please bring your own laptop.
Don’t worry if you’ve never edited Wikipedia before! Experienced Wikipedians will be on hand to help you set up an account and learn the ins and outs of Wiki editing.
